Sekitar 700 Muslim di kota Arctic, Kiruna, Swedia memilih berpuasa menyesuaikan dengan jam puasa kota suci Mekah yang mereka anggap sebagai panduan utama.
Sementara yang lain cenderung berpuasa menurut waktu di Stockholm, di mana matahari benar-benar tenggelam. Meski pun untuk beberapa jam setelahnya matahari terbit kembali.
