Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is the DNA located in mitochondria. mtDNA is only a small portion of the DNA in a eukaryotic cell. In most species, including humans, mtDNA is inherited solely from the mother.
Based on the search genetics, mtDNA Rasulullah is derived from Sawdah Bint Usayyid Ibn `Amr Ibn Tamim.
